Hello hello, I hope you’re well!
It’s been another busy week here in Forest Hill. From cake shops in Ikea (the best playground ever) to favourite Easter holiday makes. And FINALLY getting into my new studio (inside at least).
First stop, the meatball shop of dreams (at least when you’re 7!).
We only needed a few bits but the girls LOVED it. IKEA seem to have gone to the next level in the showroom section with a mock up cafe, bridal shop, forest and more.
We were so excited we had to get some sticky buns on the way out!
This speedy (ish) visit was all in aid of getting the last few bits for my new workspace.
In amongst the muddy outside I hosted a mini tester workshop last Monday in my new garden studio, with the LOVELIEST group of ladies!
I channelled my wonderful A-Level art teacher for a bit of colour theory then we tested out the ‘rubbing’ wall and sampled some Tetrapak printing.
The tables are paint splattered (hooray) the paint brushes warmed up and the coffee machine tested!
It was so fun I’ve been buzzing ever since and have finally started to add some in-person garden studio workshops to my shop for later this Spring and beyond!
Thanks so much for coming to test my space out ladies. And a very special thank you to my late mum, who without, this would still be only a very deep dream.
Dates are slowly being added to my website for workshops in May, June & beyond. Spaces are super limited as there’s only room for 6 people each session so be quick.
I can’t wait!
I went for a dip in the lido this morning (SO GOOD and at a balmy 12 degrees already)…
Before heading into the big smoke to see Frozen with our eldest (a belated birthday pressie). She’s OBSESSED with the set and special effects and so exited about how it all works. Any set designers out there please let me know… A new passion has been ignited!
We’ve figured out a few projects to make over the holidays, including these carton top ‘rings’ (always a winner!). Easy to put together if you have a few paper straws, some old beads, a carton pull ring (the sort you get on cardboard milk or apple juice cartons) and a glue gun.
And were on the look out to give a special clap to all the little dogs with little legs who keep up with their running owners with VERY long legs (an observation we made coming back on the bus this evening).
Dog treats all round I recon!
Wish you were here!
