Hello, how are you? Hope you’ve had a good week?
Cripes it’s been a busy time here, from illustration clubs, portrait commissions, fireworks, flat tyres, school Shakespeare plays to studio workshops, markets and bespoke bottoms too! It’s ‘The Season’ and life is ramping up. Hooray!
I was delighted to be commissioned by Boden a couple of weeks ago, to hand paint some plates for some very special dinner guests. The order was for 30 mini plate portraits on little ceramic dishes.
They were so enjoyable to make that I’ve added the mini plate portraits as a seasonal special in my shop, and I’m so grateful for all of the orders that have been coming in. Thank you so much!
Here’s the link if you’d like one too!
There’s been a 2024 calendar in the making, my first for 12 years, and they arrived this week! The printers have done a great job all with each one printed onto quality eco paper and filled with swimmers throughout.
They’re very limited as I only had a few made. Order yours here!
The Notting Hill Book shop got in touch a couple of weeks ago too (the one from the film, eeep) and I’m so proud that my Doodling Books are now in stock! I wonder if Julia R ever pops in?
Special swimmers and portraits have been on the drawing board this week too, and my order book is filling up for Christmas.
Please let me know sooner rather than later for personalised pictures so I can get making in time for the last Christmas post! ☺️
AND we had one of the BEST bonfire nights ever last weekend at a lovely friend’s house just down the road.
There were brilliant fireworks, dreamy sausages from the local butcher, sparklers, brownies (warm from the oven) and GIANT marshmallows. We even invented a marshmallow KIEV (yes). Although recommend replacing garlic with chocolate, sandwiched in the middle of an almost halved BIG mallow cloud, before sticking on a skewer and roasting on the cinders as usual. BLISS.
I think a pyjama day might be in order today. Recharge required for the weeks ahead…
How do you do your Sunday? Bakeoff catch up will be on the cards here with a nice dose of Lessons In Chemistry I recon. Have you seen it? It’s on Apple TV and is SO good.
Happy Sunday!
