Just in the knickers of time to say HAPPY Sunday!
Sorry for the late postcard, I’ve been going at a snails pace today, how about you?
We’ve had another busy week here so have been having an easy Sunday. The little ones and I took the bus to Greenwich for a dip in Charlton Lido followed by jam sandwiches and feeding the ducks.
Charlton lido is ace, filled with colour and stripy changing rooms, especially today in the sunshine. I’m filled with inspiration for some new swimming paintings and itching to get to my drawing board this week sometime…
Fresh from my desk from last week is this super playful wOOden doodle, scratched, scribbled, painted, printed and collaged, complete with my favourite tool, coloured chalk.
I’d grabbed some of the kids chalk just to have a quick go with for creative doodling and I’m a bit obsessed! I used the chunky sort here but you can get a great pack from Save The Children here with super snazzy retro packaging too.
LOVED dOOdling this week where we drew all things dolls house. Here’s one from the workshop complete with ‘Miss Violet’ inspired by the excellent Sam McKechnie.
If you fancy joining in the dOOdling fun then why not upgrade here…
We popped in to see my dad yesterday and had a lovely walk by the river spotting beetles and swans, and harvesting his rhubarb! IT WAS MASSIVE!
I feel a rhubarb fOOl coming on and found this yummy recipe from food52.com
We’re going to have a go tomorrow!
We’re half terming it this week and looking forward to KIDS art club on Tuesday. I’ll also be prepping for my new IN-STUDIO workshop block of COLLAGE for grown ups starting on the 6th June.
If you’re in SE London and would like to join me for some creative collage then click on the pic below for all the details. USE code cut&stick for 20% off too!
Spot of the week. Snail dOOdling on walls.
They’re actually very good. Let me know if you spot one!
Happy Bank Holiday ☺️
Love these little peeks into your world Lisa
