Hello,
How are you? Hope you’re having a good week.
It’s the…
And as half term is nearing (in this neck of the woods anyway) I thought it would be nice to work on a doodle soother you can do with the kids.
It’s pretty enjoyable to make as a grown-up too, especially the twirly leg bit. VERY satisfying!
Introducing BOB, the paper OCTOpus.
I did this with some of the little’s at school yesterday and it’s a firm favourite at SUMMER Art Club too. We made them to use as ‘models’ to practice drawing afterwards (one named his BOB), but they’re great fun to make on their own.
They stand up unaided too which, let’s face it, is always very exciting!
Here are a few of the children’s efforts:
And here’s the HOW to (step 4 is the best bit):
Enjoy!
If you make a good one please please please send a pic to me in the comments,
OR on Instagram and I’ll post it!
ERM, well, not sure how to say this but… there are no winners from last week’s Spot The Difference.
A few very close ones but ‘computer said no’. No-one spotted all 8 correctly. Nada, ZILCH, not a sausage. EEEEP.
So in true lottery fashion (I think, not seen the lottery for YEARS, is it still even on? Think they do roll overs don’t they?) I’m rolling it over so you can all have a another go.
EYES peeled!
There are 8 to spot!
The FIRST message to come through with the correct answers will win a bundle of dOOdling books & new SWIMMER cards, AND in addition as it’s a roll over, I’ll make you a hand painted plate portrait too.
PLUS
GOOD luck.
HAPPY Wednesday to you!
